Welcome to LEAP Academy! The vision for LEAP Academy started in the spring of 2022. Together with their families, Angie and Leigha took a LEAP of faith into creating with is now- LEAP Academy. This classical Christian school exists to educate children academically and spiritually, who are flourishing and well equipped to serve God’s Kingdom through their family, church, and community.

We know few investments have more potential than your children’s education. The way they see the world, the way they approach life, and the depth of their character are all influenced by education. 

C.S. Lewis said, “Aim at heaven and you will get earth thrown in. Aim at earth and you get neither.” The end goal of most modern schools is to prepare a child for two things: college and work. Although LEAP Academy is not opposed to preparing a child for college and work, we want to aim higher.

LEAP is an acronym. L is for Leadership. We realize the great need for churches and schools to train up Christian leaders who will lead with morals and integrity. E is for Excellence. We have settled far too long for mediocrity in our educational world and in society. A is for agape. Our most important goal at LEAP is to not only love our students with God’s agape but to model and teach them to live and serve others in agape love. P is for paideia. This is a Latin word that means the upbringing and education that forms the soul of a child. Every school has a culture and climate, or Paideia. At LEAP, all things will be seen and taught through the lens of Christianity and the Bible.                                   

We want to educate students in truth, goodness, and beauty. This is based on the education of long ago when the great philosophers, mathematicians, musicians and artists were trained. We want to teach the whole child… head, heart, and hands. We believe what the Bible says in Deuteronomy 11:19-21.19 "You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, as long as the heavens are above the earth." Therefore, we can’t continue to ignore the 35+ hours a week or the 16,000 hours of their educational life that our children are in school without hearing a single mention of Jesus or the Bible.
